Presentations
To give visitors the best possible experience, the Museum has two computer-driven systems.
In our mezzanine gallery we have an interactive touchscreen system which offers three presentations:
- 'Uffington Past and Present', which tells the story of the village from Iron Age times through to the 20th century.
- 'The Story of the Craven Estate', which explains what life was like when Uffington was owned by the Craven family.
- 'How the village has changed', which compares views of the village as it is now with photographs taken many years ago.
Our downstairs Visitor Computer has the same presentations, and there is also a presentation on the Uffington White Horse which the Museum produced for the Millennium celebrations in the year 2000.
The computer contains audio and video local history recordings, and our collection records database, MODES, which contains scanned images of our photograph collection.
To see a small sample of what we have available, click on this link 'Then and Now' to see old and new photos of the Uffington area.
